La Cabra Nordhavn
In Copenhagen’s revitalised Nordhavn district, a former industrial red-brick warehouse now houses La Cabra Nordhavn, a coffee roastery where craftsmanship, atmosphere, and material honesty come together.
Industrial heritage
in the Red City
As part of the area’s transformation from working port to blossoming urban neighbourhood, the building’s original character has been carefully preserved, allowing history to remain present in every detail.
From the moment guests arrive, d line’s lever handles, taps, accessories, and barrier-free solutions in AISI 316 stainless steel quietly support the experience. Selected for their durability, minimalistic expression, and ability to withstand high-use environments, the products integrate seamlessly into the café’s calm and carefully composed interior. With a 20-year warranty and exceptional resistance to daily wear, they are designed to perform beautifully every single day.
Inside, La Cabra’s new roastery reflects the surrounding industrial context while embracing a refined Nordic sensibility. Original brick structures sit alongside modern glass and steel elements, creating a balanced dialogue between past and present. The result is more than a café. It is a thoughtfully orchestrated environment shaped by atmosphere, material clarity, and intention.
Founded in Aarhus in 2012, La Cabra has grown from a local coffee initiative into an internationally recognised brand with locations in New York, Bangkok, and Oman. Across each destination, their in-house design team translates Nordic heritage and global inspiration, particularly influences from Asian design culture, into spaces that feel both distinctive and deeply connected to their surroundings.
At Nordhavn, this approach is evident in every layer of the experience. Carefully selected materials and subtle spatial transitions contribute to a sense of calm and continuity. Each element supports the rhythm of daily rituals, something that closely aligns with d line’s own design philosophy.
At La Cabra Nordhavn, heritage architecture, contemporary craftsmanship, and thoughtful detailing come together to create a cohesive and carefully considered space.
