d line x &Shufl
This stunning apartment located in Østerbro, is one of those Copenhagen homes that never disappoint. Two floors, exquisite herringbone parquet, and white brick walls creates a tranquil space that is perfect for a family of four.
Tone-on-tone effect
To accommodate a mid-sized family it was necessary to merge three 2-room apartments and renovate the bathroom and kitchen. Kristoffer Brems, co-founder of &SHUFL, is the architect behind the family’s revitalized kitchen. Instead of choosing a traditional look, Kristoffer drew the kitchen like three small islands. A rather fresh take, that utilizes the space and creates a calm and elegant expression.
The kitchen fronts in the colour Golden Leaves are from &SHUFLs new Core collection and the cabinet handles in copper are from d line. The warm copper of the cabinet handles and the toasty brown hue on the fronts create a soft combination with a delicate tone-on-tone effect. The tabletop in steel adds a more raw expression.
The Core collection is made from 90% reused wood from Danish recycling stations. The wood has been collected, grinded and transformed into new material.
Like the rest of the d line portfolio the cabinet handle is minimalistic in its design, where the beauty comes from the Ø14 mm rounded shape. The handle is made from non-corrosive, 100% reusable stainless steel.
