The world’s most accessible office building

The building’s disability solutions had to be subtle enough to integrate into the architecture, and the d line Cut lever handle, created in collaboration with both Cubo and a group of occupational therapists, was one of the solutions chosen.

For it we created bevel-edged levers to minimise bacteria accumulation, realising them in polyurethane for the warm-to-the-touch feel more comfortable for arthritis sufferers. Additionally, black and grey colour options were designed to contrast with door colours in order to help the visually impaired to navigate and see the lever.

Cut was also the product that sparked a new mission for d line: to design products that make life easier and better for everyone.
